Oil on board.
This is another painting in the set. This one depicts the idea of Superheroes; another popular cultural concept that is larger-than-life and something people can look up to in some way, but can never achieve. I've put a picture of a superhero in cubism, in the foreground in front of a city-scape. The cubism in the figure makes it non-particular of a certain character, so he can resemble the idea. The city background tries to throw it in context; superheroes are most commonly protectors of city settings.

I like how the background came out. Its a bit muddy, but accomplishes some sorta blend of paint and comic-book-graphic. (If that makes sense?) The light reflecting off the painting seemed to mess up the whiter areas in the photo a little bit, you can only notice if you look closely but I thought that would be important to note.

This is very interesting. It seems to me like a meeting between Dali and Picasso. Motions seems to play a strong role in this work and I like how you've used geometry to keep my eyes in constant motions. I don't feel like there is any particular hierarchy, which is really a good thing in non-objective works. Honestly, I've got to say this is one of the most impressive works I've seen on DA so far. Outstanding work! =)

Thanks dood! I hadn't thought of Dali, but I can understand a similarity there. Picasso and Braque were my primary influence in the whole set.

I appreciate the high compliments!
